About Us...

Update March 2020:  In response to the current situation with COVID-19, the GFC of the ARS will be holding online meetings for the remainder of the program year.  Please check our upcoming meetings tab for details about these online meetings.  Stay safe and we hope to meet together again soon. Thank you.

Who we are...

We are a group of people who like and love playing and learning about the recorder.

What do we do...

We hold meetings on the first Sunday of the month from September through May to discuss all things recorder and play together.

Do I have to be an advanced player to join?

We are open to players of all levels. If you are a beginner, fear not, we also hold meetings that do not include playing.

Is there a fee to join?

No, there is no fee. At present the Fredericksburg Recorder Society is entirely run by volunteers. While our organization is free to join, we do encourage all members to join our parent organization, The American Recorder Society.
