*September 10, 2023- First meeting of the season! Join us for the first meeting of the season. We will vote on our participation in and our selection for the “Hometown Holiday Spotlight” and more.

October 1, 2023- Hometown Holiday Spotlight Recording

November 5, 2023- “Those Crazy Canzonas” Join us as we explore the form known as the canzona, canzonetta, etc. We will look at the time frame in which it was most popular and some of the composers who worked to develop this form.

December 3, 2023- Holiday Music and Party: “Exploring Advent: Magnificats and More!” With the introduction of recordings, radio, etc., we can listen to our favorite music whenever we want and recording artists only record what the public seems to want to hear. As a result our repertoire has been shrinking. Join us as we sample some of the pieces intended for this season that you may not have ever heard.

January 7, 2024- “A Fantasia New Year” Let’s start out the year right, by exploring the Fantasia.

February 4, 2024- “Leapin’ Liz(zards): High Stepping Dances for the Leap Year” Get a good pair of hose and a tight garter, because we will be playing Galliards and Voltes until the cows come home or the chickens come home to roost...whichever comes first.

March 3, 2024- “Madrigal and Motet Madness” Join us as we explore madrigals and motets both early and “modern”.

April 7, 2024- TBD

May 5, 2024- End of the year party and TBD
